Family Counselling (ages 18+)

Supporting families through communication, connection & change

Family relationships can be a source of strength, belonging, and support, yet they can also be complicated. Even in close families, misunderstandings, past hurt, shifting roles, or major life changes can create tension that feels hard to navigate. When communication starts to break down or when patterns leave everyone feeling unheard, family counselling offers a space to regroup and begin understanding each other in new ways.

Family counselling provides a place where each person can share their perspective and feel respected. It gives families an opportunity to step out of familiar patterns and explore how they want to move forward together.

Who family counselling can support

Family counselling for adults can be helpful in many situations. Some families attend because old patterns are resurfacing. Others come to address conflict, life transitions, cultural or generational differences, or emotional distance that has grown over time.

Families may be navigating changes such as grief, illness, aging parents, separation, blended family dynamics, or new responsibilities. No matter the reason, counselling offers space for each person to feel heard and for the family as a whole to gain clarity about what is happening.

Your first session is simply a conversation. You do not need to prepare anything. We talk about what brought you in, what you hope for, and what feels most important right now. Together we decide on a direction that supports your comfort and goals.
