Counselling for Couples

Strengthening connection through understanding & care

Relationships can bring deep joy, comfort, and meaning, but they can also be one of the most complex parts of our lives. When communication breaks down or when stress, misunderstandings, or life changes begin to strain a partnership, it is common to feel discouraged or unsure how to move forward.

Couples counselling offers a supportive place to slow down, listen to each other, and begin understanding the patterns that are getting in the way of connection. It is a space where both partners can feel heard and where you can work together to rebuild trust, clarity, and closeness.

Approaches that support growth & perspective

Couples counselling at Wide Lens Counselling draws from narrative, solution-focused and response-based approaches. These methods help couples understand their relationship story from new angles and notice the strengths they already bring to each other.

Together, we look at what you value as a couple, how you have managed past challenges and what possibilities might open up as you learn to communicate with more clarity and compassion. The goal is not perfection. It is creating space for understanding, choice and connection.

Most insurance plans cover counselling provided by a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work. Coverage varies by provider. If you are unsure, please contact your insurance company for details.

Your first session is simply a conversation. You do not need to prepare anything. We talk about what brought you in, what you hope for, and what feels most important right now. Together we decide on a direction that supports your comfort and goals.
